Byker Font Family was designed by Jonathan Hill and published by The Northern Block. Byker contains 16 styles and family package options. Byker is a geometric sans-serif that blends technology with handcrafted forms. Characters are constructed digitally from a technical grid and overlaid with handmade curves. Combining this process creates a robust and organic font that is precise with subtle movement and personality without being too clinical. Remastered to version 2.0, the type family now includes an ultra display weight and improved OpenType features. Byker is also available as a variable font. The font includes eight weights with italics and over 900 characters per style. OpenType features consist of eleven number variations; inferiors, superiors, fractions, tabular, lining, and oldstyle. It also has alternate lowercase a, e, g, and y, small caps and language support covering Western, Southern, and Central Europe.
