Nero Font Family was designed by Friedrich Poppl and published by Berthold. Nero contains 3 styles and family package options. Designed by Professor Friedrich Poppl (1923-1982) for Berthold in 1982, Nero is the 10th Poppl design available in digital format exclusively from Berthold. When requested by Günter Gerhard Lange to design another display typeface, Friedrich Poppl extended his calligraphic experience and title page design work to create Nero: an all-capitals alphabet with a loose outline. As with each of his typeface designs, Poppl used his typographical expertise and dedication to beauty to create a “timeless” face – pure, clear and balanced. The result is a beautiful, purposely rough, display typeface.
