Show Card Painter JNL Font Family was designed by Jeff Levine and published by Jeff Levine. Show Card Painter JNL contains 2 styles and family package options. The 1949 book “Applied Lettering & Design” by Rand Holum showed a number of metal type faces as style examples. One in particular did not carry its original foundry name, but was referred to by Holum as “a novelty Roman cartoon face”. In actuality, it’s a casual brush stroke design, often found in ads and in hand lettered show cards and signs.This is now digitally available as Show Card Painter JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.
