Adhesive Nr. Eight Font Family was designed by Roland Hörmann and published by phospho. Adhesive Nr. Eight contains 1 styles and family package options. Adhesive Nr. Eight was developed as a streamlined variation of the heavily textured Adhesive Nr. Seven blackletter font, responding to frequent requests for a clean, minimalist version. The foundation remains unchanged: adhesive tape construction, drawing on the Fraktur majuscules of Tannenberg Fett and the minuscules of Roberts Koch’s Schmale Deutsche Anzeigenschrift. In this reinterpretation, hard-to-read letters by modern standards (F, H, K, Z, k, long s, x, y, z) were reshaped with influences from grotesque typefaces. This transformation also makes the font uniquely suited for uses where blackletter typefaces typically fail — such as setting text in all capital letters. With its neutral, refined aesthetic, Adhesive Nr. Eight expands its versatility across a broader range of applications while staying true to the distinctive „Adhesive methodology“.
