Arastradero Font Family was designed by Steve Matteson and published by Matteson Typographics. Arastradero contains 6 styles and family package options. Arastradero is a typeface based on broad-nib pen lettering and calligrapy. Classical proportions and shapes imbue a sense of trustworthiness and elegance to titles and text. Similar to Lydian, Arastradero is more elegant for text setting. Arastradero maintains an angled calligraphic stress, whereas Optima is entirely upright. Calligraphic alternative swash capitals and lowercase are included for fanciful headlines and invitations. Arastradero is named for the open space region in Palo Alto, California where the designer hiked, ran and biked among Live Oak and Eucalyptus trees.
