Centaur Now Font Family was designed by Frederic Warde, Bruce Rogers, Toshi Omagari and published by Monotype. Centaur Now contains 30 styles and family package options. Centaur Now is a new digital revival of Centaur which is renowned for its elegant character in book typography. The original Monotype Centaur was designed by American book designer Bruce Rogers based on the typeface by Nicholas Jenson from the 1470. The italic was done by Frederic Warde, an American typography researcher, inspired by the italic works of Ludovico degli Arrighi. Centaur Now captures the elegance of the original. Its delicate character is most prevalent in the display version, and more toned down in text and caption versions in favour of robustness and legibility.
