Goudy Lanston Font Family was designed by Steve Matteson and published by Matteson Typographics. Goudy Lanston contains 3 styles and family package options. Reimagined by Steve Matteson in 2025. Goudy Lanston was designed by Frederic Goudy for Lanston Monotype and the Caslon Typefoundry in 1912. Originally named “Antique” the typeface was sold to Lanston Monotype for machine casting. Goudy’s aim was to produce a typeface akin to Jenson’s Roman with a dark, rich texture and sturdy profile. The family includes text, subhead and display versions to optimize elegance at large sizes and rich color in text.
