Guanare Font Family was designed by Grey Albornoz and published by fragTYPE. Guanare contains 20 styles and family package options. Guanare started as a drawing on a piece of paper, can I draw an “a” like this? From that question began a whole process of development that was based on the mixture of different things to reach this result. We knew that the font had to be very modular and basic, we knew that we didn’t want to have a fixed baseline and we knew that the lowercase letters were going to be the protagonists of the alphabet. With that in mind and while we were developing Guanare we added more features like weights, widths, language support, alternate characters and a variable version. The result is a font that reflects very well our mixed idiosyncrasy where every idea has a place. We hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoyed making it.
