Volte Sinhala Variable Font Family was designed by Aditi Pimprikar and published by Indian Type Foundry. Volte Sinhala Variable contains 1 styles and family package options. Although Sinhala letters don’t feature serifs, Volte Gujarati’s monolinear appearance calls geometric sans serifs made for the Latin script to mind. It feels at home wherever they do. The style resonates with many architects, artists, engineers, fashion designers, graphic designers, and musicians in a way almost no other kind of letter can. Volte Sinhala is available in two formats: install it as a single Variable Font or use the family’s five static OpenType font files. Those range in weight from Light to Bold. While the static-format fonts offer a good intermediary-step selection, users who install the Variable Font have vastly greater control over their text’s stroke width. The Volte Sinhala Variable Font’s weight axis allows users to differentiate between almost 1,000 possible font weights. That enables you to fine-tune your text’s exact appearance on-screen or in print. The Indian Type Foundry’s Volte multi-script superfamily supports a dizzying array of writing systems. We’ve designed variants of the typeface to support 11 different writing systems used in India. Those are Arabic, Bangla, Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Kannada, Latin, Malayalam, Odia, Tamil, and Telugu. We’ve also created a subfamily for another “Indic” script besides Sinhala: Volte Thai for the Thai script used in Thailand. Volte Arabic supports several languages written with the Arabic script, too. Volte Latin supports most European languages. By creating an interoperating series of so many parts, we strive to improve the workflows of digital designers and designers in Corporate Design around the world. Volte Sinhala was designed in-house at ITF by Aditi Pimprikar.
