Swanson Font Family was designed by Gert Wiescher and published by Wiescher Design. Swanson contains 4 styles and family package options. “Swanson” is the son of the swan. This doesn’t make a lot of sense to non-typedesigners so I need to explain. The late, great italian typedesigner Aldo Novarese designed around 1950 a typeface for Nebiolo that he called “Cigno” which means Swan. Cigno was one of Aldo’s rare ventures into the design of a script. When I designed Swanson I had Cigno in my mind. But it turned out a much different typeface. I designed Swanson twins. Swanson One beeing the light elegantly floating Swan and Swanson Two the more accentuated heavier brother typeface. I like them both and since they are twins I did not want to split them up, I only sell the pair for a fair price. Yours sincerly Gert Wiescher
